Project Description

G&D Higgins were awarded a project by Cofely (now Engie) to install a plate heat exchanger system for the CHP engines in both of the energy centres on the Olympic Park.

In essence both projects were identical. To install primary and secondary pipe work to new twin plate heat exchangers from the MTHW primary to convert to LTHW secondary both in the Kings Yard and Stratford energy centres.

We were contracted to supply pipe work systems for standby cooling, 8 megawatts! For the media centre. This plant 8 x 1 megawatt chillers were located within the Kings Yard compound

Our class 1 qualified welders were also requested to fabricated connections to several of the temporary buildings on behalf of Cofely (now Engie)

We now work on several sites for Engie – installing a variety of pipe work systems and plant. These sites include PDHU, Westminster, British Library, London University, London Borough of Harrow.
