In what is now becoming an annual tradition, G&D Higgins Mechanical Services arranged for reindeer to visit a local school just before Christmas. This year the reindeer dropped in on Greenfields Nursey School and Children's Centre. The Headteacher commented that the children and the parents loved it, and all had a great time. Some of the parents were very surprised to hear that the Reindeer’s antlers fall off and re-grow every year and most of them had never seen real reindeer before, so it was a real treat! The children are hoping that the reindeer are now having a good rest and are getting ready for their busy night on Christmas Eve. I wonder where the reindeer will visit next year?

G&D Higgins Mechanical Services recently helped HCUC (A merger between Uxbridge College & Harrow College) at their recent National Apprenticeship Week event. Joe Williamson and Kier Higgins, two of our staff who have experienced the apprenticeship scheme, talked to attendees about their experiences. Liz Driscoll, Public Relations Consultant for HCUC said "Firstly a big thank you to Joe and Keir for coming along today to talk to our employer visitors during our National Apprenticeship Week event. It’s so helpful for folks to hear first hand experiences of Apprenticeships, and to see what kind of progress is possible professionally through colleges generally. You both helped make it really lively and engaging as well"

David Higgins Director of G&D Higgins Mechanical Services with the under 16's Ealing Trailfinders Youth Rugby Team which he coaches an a voluntary basis for one evening and one day per weekend.
